Describe It offers a selection of 20 voices, both male and female, capable of narrating product descriptions in five different languages. You can choose your preferred voice, language, and region in the audio settings before or after creating your groups. The settings include sample audio so you can hear each voice before making your decision.
IMPORTANT: Product descriptions must be written in the same language that the configured voice uses.
Choose a voice for your product descriptions #
The voice that you select in your audio settings will be used in all new product groups that you create. Existing product groups will retain the voice settings that were configured at the time those product groups were created. If you would like to update your existing product groups to the new voice, then you must resync your groups after you select a new voice.
To select your voice and audio settings, please follow the steps below.
- From the Shopify admin, navigate to Apps > Describe It.
- Click Settings in the left menu.
- In the Audio Settings section, click Change.
- Expand the Language Code dropdown menu, and choose your preferred language and region.
- Expand the Gender dropdown menu, and choose your preferred gender.
- Expand the Voice dropdown menu, and choose your preferred voice persona.
- Optional: Click the play button icon under Sample to hear how the voice sounds.
- Once you are satisfied with your voice, click Save.
- Optional: Resync existing groups to the new voice settings on the Groups page.
